PADI Divemaster Program

Welcome to the PADI Divemaster Training Course.  This course is your first step toward becoming a qualified diving professional.

Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional.

PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
We have produced some of the finest Divemasters in the Scuba Industry and pride ourselves on the quality of our Divemaster program.

Our course is the most comprehensive program you’ll find in the Diving Industry. We’ve added the extras to assure your success as a Divemaster.

Divemasters can work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations, as well as a
ssist PADI Instructors with student divers.

They can l
ead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours, as well as teach and certify PADI Skin Divers.

PADI Divemaster can also teach the exciting PADI Discover Snorkeling programs, along with conducting the PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers.

They can also l
ead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences, teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.

All you need to start is be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another training organization, as well as a PADI Rescue Diver certification or qualifying certification from another training organization.

You must get m
edical clearance signed by a physician and show proof of at least 20 logged dives, as well as be 18 years old at the start of your program.

You will learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions, complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water, as well as participate in training exercises to test organizational and problem solving abilities.

You might participate in an 
internship or series of practical training exercises to complete the practical section of your course.

The Divemaster course can take as little as two weeks or as long as six months depends on you and your schedule.

You’ll start your Divemaster program, reading the newest edition of the PADI Divemaster manual and answer the Knowledge Reviews at the end of each chapter.

Then you’re on to the PADI Diving Knowledge Workbook. This book contains information on diving physics, physiology, scuba equipment, general skills and the environment, and the Recreational Dive Planner.

Upon completion of the workbook, you’ll get together with your instructor to review both books and answer any questions. You’ll also learn about, supervising students in both training and general diving activities, the business of diving, risk management and furthering your diving career.

During the confined water skill sessions you
watermanship skills & stamina, general diving skills, rescue diver and problem solving ability will be assessed. You and your instructor will work on perfecting your diving skills so they are at demonstration quality.

You will also participate in a mapping exercise where you 
will be a mapping a local dive training site with your instructor. Besides a drawing, you will need to include all the necessary emergency information which pertains to the dive site.

During your open water skill sessions you 
will be preparing an openwater site for a training exercise, along with conducting an environmental assessment of the site.

Before you give your dive briefing, you should have a working knowledge of the site and the conditions which can exist.

As an instructional assistant, you will be helping students with their entries and exits through the surf zone, demonstrating the proper control of students, assist with diver supervision, and provide assessment of students.

Along with acting as an instructional assistant, you will also be conducting a Discover Local Diving experience. You will be learning how to cope with divers during non-training situation.

PADI Assistant Instructor Program


The PADI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). You'll not only gain additional experience as a PADI Professional but you'll also start learning the PADI System of diver education. Its purpose
is to prepare you, the PADI Divemaster, with additional training both as an instructional assistant and dive educator.

We will build upon your abilities to organize and supervise dive activities while concentrating on developing teaching skills.

 

PADI Assistant Instructors can teach academic presentations under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor. evaluate Open Water Diver surface skills under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.

They can also t
each the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy, 
Project AWARE and Coral Reef Conservation Specialty courses.

AIs can also conduct the PADI Discover Scuba experience, t
each Emergency First Response after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.

To start your course, you must be a PADI Divemaster rating or qualifying certification from another certification organization and be a
t least 18 years old.

You will be required to show proof of at least 
60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation dives and h
ave been a certified diver for at least 6 months.

During your PADI AI course, you will compelte the Knowledge development through self-study, quizzes, lectures and presentations.

You will also complete a c
onfined water skill review and assessment, workshops and presentations.

In the o
pen water workshops, you will participate in a rescue assessment and give open water presentations.

Your course consists of one orientation meeting, four classroom sessions to review your self-study materials, along with presenting seven lectures, four confined water dives to present your confined water presentations, as well as reviewing diving and rescue skills, along with one 
day at the open water where you will present your open water presentations.
