Why PADI Rescue Diver?

Rewarding and fun, that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

What do I need to start?

  • Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months. The Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care courses meet these requirements.

During the confined and open water sessions, you'll cover: self-rescue and diver stress, AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems, dive first aid, swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques, emergency management and equipment, panicked diver response, underwater problems, missing diver procedures, surfacing the unconscious diver, in-water rescue breathing protocols, egress (exits), first aid procedures for pressure related accidents, dive accident scenarios;

What does it cost?

How long will it take?

We will meet for an orientation session, two classroom sessions with pool dives, along with two scenarios at the open water. Check out our Activity Guide for course dates and times.

The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for all Professional level PADI courses, beginning with the PADI Divemaster certification.

RESCUE REFRESHER

If it has been over three months since the last time that you actually practiced your rescue skills, you are probably suffering from “rescue rust”. This is where you know what to do, how to do it, however, your skill level is not what it was when you were certified. Our refresher includes one hour of classroom time and one hour of pool time. You need to be a Rescue Diver or above to attend and have a current Rescue Diver Manual and all of your own personal diving equipment. The cost for our Rescue Refresher is only $50.00.
