Introduction to Technical Diving
Advanced Nitrox
Welcome to your Advanced Nitrox course! By enrolling in this course you will be able to extend your bottom time by incorporating different gas mixes. You will be doing some modifications on your traditional recreational scuba equipment, (installing a dual outlet valve on a single tank or strapping on a pony bottle), which will allow you the safety of having a backup regulator compete with 1st and 2nd stage.
You will learn how to track your oxygen clock; Explore decompression theory; Implement in-water emergency procedures and develop your skills to dive to a depth of 150fsw. Our objective is to train you in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN 22 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression.
In order to attend this course, you must be at least fifteen (15) years old and a certified Nitrox Diver and be able to show proof of twenty five (25) logged open water dives.

In your classroom session we will meet for four hours, during which we will review the Knowledge Reviews from the student manual; Analyzing a variety of gas mixtures; Clean and set-up equipment; Review the open water dives.
At your pool session you will meet for approximately two hours, during which you will learn stage bottle skills; Lift bag deployment and other basic technical diving skills.
