PADI Open Water Diver Course

In the PADI Open Water Diver Course, your Instructor takes you through the basics of learning how to scuba dive, by starting in the pool and progressing to open water (ocean, lake, etc.) while obtaining diving knowledge and skills as you advance through your exciting journey!

Requirements for the Course:

•        Ages 10 & up (10 to 14 year olds can receive their PADI Jr. Open Water Diver certification)

•        Good health

•        Reasonably fit and comfortable in the water

•        Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Gloves and Defog Solution

At the orientation session you can purchase the equipment listed above. The most important item you will need is to have an enthusiastic attitude to have FUN!

Scheduling Options:

•          Classroom Options:

1.    e-learning: done all online at your own pace

2.    CD: load it onto your computer and complete it on your own

3.    DVD & Book: watch at home and come to your classroom sessions ready to go over your material

•          Pool Options:

1.    Week night pool sessions: 3 hours long, with a minimum of 3 sessions

2.    Weekend pool sessions: 4 hours long, for 2 sessions

•          Open Water Dives Options

1.    Warm Water Resort Referral: Complete your classroom and pool dives with us. Finish doing the ocean dives on your vacation! The fee of $199.00 which includes your student kit, scuba equipment for the pool and the referral paperwork you will need to complete the dives at a PADI resort. For two people (you and a buddy) the cost is only $175.00 each!

2.    Ocean Dives: Complete your classroom, pool dives and then you head down to Monterey to complete your ocean dives. The fee of $299.00 which includes your student kit, scuba equipment for the pool and ocean dives and certification card. For two people the cost is only $275.00 each!

3.    Lake Dives: Complete your classroom, pool dives and then you go over to a local lake to complete your dives. The lake can be as much as 20 degrees warmer than Monterey. The fee of $299.00 which includes your student kit, scuba equipment for the pool and dives and certification card. For two people the cost is only $275.00 each!

Schedule:

All Orientations are held at Dive N Trips. For a complete listing of all of our classes, please check our Activity Calendar. For week night classes and pool dives, we meet from 7pm to 10pm.
For weekend classes we meet from 8am to 5pm. Open water dives are done on the last weekend of the course.
