Hey want to hang out with the fish? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to pet a Manta Ray? How about swim with a turtle? If so, then you need to get underwater and blowing bubbles! We have several ways to get you in the water diving with the sea lions, sea otters, fish and other California marine life! Now’s the time to start your journey of a lifetime with Dive N Trips!

During your course, your Instructor will take you through the fundamentals of learning to dive; starting out in the pool and then progress to open water, all the while obtaining diving knowledge and skills as you advance through your exciting journey! You can expand your diving education and become a more competent and comfortable diver through our trips, events and classes!

Requirements:

1.   Ages: You must be at least 10 years old to receive your certification

2.   You must be in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in the water

3.   You will need to supply your own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Gloves and Defog Solution. These can be purchased during your orientation session. Please do NOT purchase them before, we want to make sure you get the proper equipment for you. We have had some issues in the past.

4.   The most important item you will need is to have an enthusiastic attitude to have FUN!

Scheduling Options:

Classroom Options:

You have two options to complete the knowledge development portion of your course.

1.   e-learning: completed online at your own pace, come in and complete an 18 question quiz and that is all the classroom sessions you need to complete. However, you are welcome to attend the regular classroom session if you would like too.

2.   DVD & Book: watch the DVD and read the book on your own; then attend the classroom sessions, where you will go over the five knowledge reviews and complete five easy quizzes.

Pool Options:

You have two options to complete your required five pool dives. The week night sessions are usually a little slower pace than the weekend sessions. The weekend sessions are great if you have a time constraint.

1.   Week night pool dives: 4 meetings of 3 hours each

2.   Weekend pool dives: 2 meetings of 4 hours each

Open Water Dives Options:

To finish up your certification you will need to complete four open water dives, which are usually done over two days. We have a couple of different options for you to do so.

1.   Warm Water Resort Referral: Once you have completed your knowledge development and pool dives with us, you can finish your open water dives on your vacation! We will issue you the necessary paperwork for you to do your dives in a nice tropical location. Did you know we have a travel agent who works for us and can even help you set up your vacation and dives?

2.   Full Course: Now all the knowledge development and dives are completed, you can join us for either four lake dives or four dives in beautiful Monterey Bay! We usually do two dives each day and try to get done early so you have time to explore this wonderful central coast town.

Course Fees:

1.   PADI e-learning: $120.00 paid directly to PADI (to start, scroll to the bottom of this page and get started NOW!

2.   Warm Water Resort Referral and using e-learning: $120 to PADI + $105.00 to Dive N Trips for a total cost of $225.00

3.   Warm Water Resort Referral using the DVD & book, the cost is $225.00 paid directly to Dive N Trips

4.   Full Course using PADI e-learning: $120.00 paid directly to PADI + $205.00 paid to Dive N Trips for a total cost of $325.00

5.   Full Course using either the DVD & book the cost is $325.00 paid directly to Dive N Trips

6.   Private Course: $650.00 paid to Dive N Trips
